My Favorite Trick Question

Here’s A Fun Example

This fun example is my favorite trick question on this chart, and you can find it on the front of the chart, Panel 2, next to Enoch in the Genealogy (Try to stump your friends who know their Bibles well with this fun, trick question):

But don’t be too quick to answer it yourself…because it may stump you, too, at first:

Who is Earth’s oldest man?

Methusaleh?

No.

For Methusaleh only lived 969 years, then he died.

Actually, Enoch (Methusaleh’s dad) was translated to heaven and never died!

That means Enoch is about 5,400 years old and counting…wrinkle free!…since:

  • Earth is about 6,000 years old
  • Enoch was born when Earth was about 600 years old
  • Then Enoch was translated to heaven and never died.

That makes Enoch about 5 and 1/2 times older than his son, Methusaleh, Earth’s apparently oldest man, since Methusaleh only lived 969 years old.

So father and son hold earth’s 2 key age records:

  • Enoch =
    • Earth’s oldest man
    • 5,400 yrs old and counting
    • Wrinkle free!
  • Methusaleh
    • Earth’s oldest man who died on Earth
    • 969 yrs.
    • Awaiting the call of the Life-Giver at the Second Coming.

So how does that piece of trivia connect to the Great Conflict between Good & Evil?

Simple.

Who on this earth who has chosen the devil’s side in this great conflict between good and evil, truth and error, and Christ and Satan is 5,400 years old?

Not one!

So if you want to live forever, wrinkle free, choose Enoch’s God…the God of Heaven and Earth, the God Who loves you so, and live forever…wrinkle-free!
