The Genealogy from Adam to Christ—the 1st Adam to the 2nd Adam

Example. G1: 930 = Generation 1 with a 930 year lifespan & 130 years to next event

The following 2 “Whole Laws” were passed down from father to son by word of mouth from Creation to Sinai & could reach Abraham in just 3 transmissions: (1) Adam (G1) to Lamech (G9), (2) Lamech to Shem (G11), & (3) Shem to Abraham (G20). Talk about reliability! Truly we can fully trust what God has passed down to us through the centuries about His Law of Liberty & His Simple Plan of Salvation:

G1. Adam:

930 yrs. old – could give God’s Law, Plan of Salvation, and all info Christ gave him

          Calvary, thus still binding today,
        • Will endure throughout eternity…
    • God’s simple plan of salvation to pass by word of mouth from Adam & Eve to last sinner on earth till Jesus comes in the clouds of glory!
      • Whole Law # 2 (Gal. 5:1-3) of Types & Ceremonies:
        • Planned from eternity past & complete in every detail,
        • Temporary & provisional, thus subject to reform & abolishment,
        • Given to mankind in simple form at our FALL,
        • “Added” (Gal. 3:19) in greater object lesson form at Sinai,
        • Officially confirmed at Calvary, thus all the types throughout the 4,000 years leading up to Calvary were met in Christ and are fulfilled in their order (Panel D),
        • We will study throughout eternity…

      • = c. 5,378 yrs. old!
      • …It pays to serve God (Mt. 19:29)!

    • Elijah, c. 2,885 yrs.

G8. Methusaleh:

969 yrs. old. The oldest man who died on Earth. He died the year of the flood.

G9. Lamech:

777 yrs. old. He died 5 years before the flood.

G10. Noah:

950 yrs. old.

  1. At age 480:
    • Began ark
    • Began warning of Flood to come (Gen. 6:1-22): 120 years = Noah warned world & built ark (Heb. 11:7).
  2. At age 600, boarded ark (Gen. 7:11).
  3. Lived 350 years after to flood
    • But at what a loss to those who had set themselves against God! It was His purpose that as men should go forth to found nations in different parts of the earth they should carry with them a knowledge of His will, that the light of truth might shine undimmed to succeeding generations. Noah, the faithful preacher of righteousness, lived for three hundred and fifty years after the Flood, Shem for five hundred years, and thus their descendants had an opportunity to become acquainted with the requirements of God and the history of His dealings with their fathers. But they were unwilling to listen to these unpalatable truths; they had no desire to retain God in their knowledge; and by the confusion of tongues they were, in a great measure, shut out from intercourse with those who might have given them light.

G11. Shem:

600 yrs. old (Notice: Shem outlived 7 generations of the next 8 generations! Only his great-grand son, Eber, outlived him! And he almost outlived Abraham, the 9th generation from himself!

  1. Shem lived 500 yrs. after flood (Gen. 11:10, 11)
  2. But at what a loss to those who had set themselves against God! Christ is our High Priest Who ever lives to make intercession for transgressors in His “Mediatorial Kingdom.”

KINGSHIP

Judah (G23 & G1 in Egypt*, ?) Kingship (Purple = Royalty) = Christ’s challenged, yet rightful role (Jer. 33:17; Gen. 49:10; Isa. 33:22; 9:6, 7; Ps. 132:11; Lk. 1:31-33; 1 Chr. 29:23; Rev. 19:16)

The King of Grace (Officially confirmed at Calvary and continues through His Second Coming): Heb. 4:15, 16; Zech. 6:13; Mk. 16:19; Heb. 1:2, 3

The King of Glory (Mt. 25:31; Rev. 11:15). Thus He will reign from SC to Eternity! Alleluia, Amen!

Mary’s Lineage (c. G75) thru King David’s son Nathan (Lk. 3:23-38): Adam (G1) to Christ (c. G76), c. 76 generations
